About us:
Selah Pittsburgh provides exceptional Postpartum Doula care, empowering new parents during the fourth trimester. Our Doulas offer holistic support: emotional encouragement, newborn care, light household management, and meal prep. We also provide evidence-based info on infant feeding and postpartum recovery, allowing parents to rest, heal, and bond.
Our team-based approach addresses the critical need for time for working or single parents, essential for:
Personal rejuvenation and self-care (e.g., showering)
Nourishing meals for recovery
Essential rest to prevent exhaustion, anxiety & depression
Bonding with the newborn or time with other children
A curated team ensures parents benefit from fresh perspectives and optimized care. Having a team also mitigates burnout for providers and parents, keeping team members energized for attentive infant care.
Our Doulas bring diverse approaches, assuring parents there's no single "right" way to nurture their baby. Our adaptable team collaborates seamlessly. If a method resonates with a client, our team aligns to support the family's well-being and bond.

For Doulas
Selah Pittsburgh can't bring Postpartum, care to families without our Doulas first supporting each other as a working birth community.
Selah Pittsburgh fosters that support process by hosting monthly gatherings where we build and maintain our working relationships, share experiences, and discuss clients and the business of postpartum care.
We also provide transparency and integrity throughout our business practices. Our business model includes the following core values.
Equitable pay
Contract transparency
Open communication and easy access to agency leadership
A team approach to client care, i.e. Doulas don't need to find their own back-up in an emergency.
Doulas with Selah Pittsburgh are encouraged to use their gifts and skillsets to grow professionally both individually and as a team because we believe the better one of us does, the better we all do.
